The AS is a growing, editable data base or archive of information about the human body, it's structure and biomechanical properties, it's ancient and recent history, the traditions and conditions that have shaped or constrain it. The AS also proposed a powerful, coherent and practical symbolic language for documenting, evaluating and inventing human movements.
